The project has been running very smoothly, with all of our schools in the North Island visited, plus two public events completed in Taranaki, (in co-operation with Sustainable Taranaki). We’re currently running around 2 weeks ahead of schedule.
I’m now working my way from the south of the South Island, to the north. It was a cold start for our first South Island school in Invercargill, with -3deg. That didn’t stop the locals from coming to school early to see the balloon though. There was a nice write up about it in the Otago Daily Times, which can be seen here.
I’ve also visited schools in Mataura and Oamaru over the past week, with two Akaroa schools and a Christchurch School to visit over the next week.
